The proposal for Tempus Project on “Enhancement of Risk Perception in Engineering Education” coded (CD_JEP 30095-2002) was submitted to the European Commission Directorate General for Education and Culture, and was awarded and signed by the European Commission; activities started in September 2003 and shall continue through August 2006.

Mission

To enhance awareness of risk assessment in the Egyptian engineering education in a broader effort for developing risk awareness within the Egyptian engineering community.

Vision

By the end of the project, the concept of risk assessment will have been introduced in engineering education by having the first two-year Risk Assessment Postgraduate Diploma at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (FECU).

Objective

To have the Risk Assessment Postgraduate Diploma at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University approved for the Academic Year 2005-2006 or 2006-2007.
